AI Is Not Going to Replace Fitness Instructors

But It Can Be a Tool in Our Teaching Toolkit When We Understand How to Use It

You've likely experimented with ChatGPT or other AI resources. It's similar to the early days of indoor cycling certification, where learning to teach a class also involved a steep learning curve.

Perhaps you assigned ChatGPT or Gemini the task of writing a playlist or drafting a drill, only to receive something that felt, well, a bit soulless or flat. Perhaps you've been intrigued but every attempt you've made seems to create more work than it solves. That's perfectly understandable; so many people  are exactly where you are with this kind of technology. It is becoming more normal to use it, but you haven't quite mastered it yet - that is okay!

Rachel has designed this course to guide fitness professionals through the fear of AI and learn how to use it with real purpose. There are smarter and more efficient uses for your time than banging your head against the wall to make AI work like a support crutch for your teaching without replacing your classroom presence. AI will keep improving; it is a matter of time. We need to learn how to keep up with simple AI as it advances and this fun online workshop will leave you leaps and bounds ahead of the rest.

Hello From Me!

BCRPA & CFES Educator Since 2002

If you are new to me, my name is Rachel. I have been certifying fitness professionals with the BCRPA and CFES since 2002, creator of Indoor Cycling Teaching Ideas, and proud studio owner of Inner Fit. As a student of kinesiology, I have also had a deep passion for learning the ins and outs of AI, apps, and technology. When the world was convinced AI was going to replace us as fitness professionals, I got curious. I began taking courses and workshop to learn and understand it and wanted to find a way to help instructors embrace it instead of fearing it. This is the first course of it's kind in the depth and application it will provide specifically for fitness professionals. With over 2000 students who have attended my courses and workshops, my goal remains the same - to provide a fun, interactive, and applicable experience. I pride myself on leaving instructors with an abundance of content they can access anytime, which is why I created my app for continued learning. I invite you to join in for AI Essentials and if you walk away excited and confident about AI, I will know I have done my job ツ AI opened so many doors for me as a fitness professional and hope it does the same for you.

Curious About AI? Have You Tried Chat GPT or Gemini but Responses are Generic or Fall Flat?

This isn’t about hype. It’s about taking the guesswork (and some fear) out of AI and giving you the tools to save time, keep your classes fresh, and stay ahead of the curve in our industry. This in-depth 6-hour course, you’ll go from curious (or confused) to confident , learning how to use AI properly as a tool for planning your classes without feeling like AI will replace instructors.

  • We’ll start at the very beginning, giving you the confidence to understand the language of AI without tech overwhelm.

  • We’ll move into hands-on practice: how to use AI to build drills, design playlists, plan entire classes, and even map out combo formats like Spin + Strength.

  • We'll dive into understanding Bias in AI (and Why It Matters for Instructors)

  • You’ll see exactly how to write prompts that avoid generic, boring responses, and instead produce creative, professional-level ideas that still sound and feel like you.

  • You'll learn how to AI tools like Chat GPT in a way that strengthens—not replaces—your role as a coach.

  • By the end, you won’t just know how to “try AI.” You’ll know how to use it properly, safely, and effectively—with enough depth that you’ll feel confident showing other instructors how to do the same.

"The Art of Creating Indoor Cycling Drills & Playlists was a fabulous course. Rachel is truly dedicated, experienced and knowledgeable. She is, most importantly, a super fun leader! I absolutely loved the entire course. There was so much application material that went beyond a ‘level one' instructor certification course while providing a super energetic and safe place to experiment online. I absolutely loved the optional peer review of our recorded homework assignments. I enjoyed seeing the creativity and different teaching styles of my peers. I also now enjoy other music genres to use while instructing which is important. I made some great connections with people all over the world! We are going to continue staying in touch and build an even larger collaborative music library together. Rachel takes the grit of composing a ride and breaks it down into a pattern that you will be able to use, saving hours of time. I am excited to plan classes that are efficient, planned and purposeful which will keep my attendance and retention rates higher. Gift yourself this unique opportunity. You will not regret it, especially as a new instructor, or an instructor returning from a long hiatus to get your mojo back. Go for it!"

"Though I have done indoor cycling courses in the past, I've always felt like an imposter instructor, never really feeling I had what it takes to teach a class. It wasn't until I did Rachel's training that I felt confident in my teaching abilities and ready to lead an indoor cycling class without a doubt in my mind. Rachel brings a wealth of experience, both in indoor cycling and in the fitness industry herself, and she weaves this knowledge throughout her teaching. Furthermore, she is accessible, fun, and genuinely wants her students to succeed. I believe a great instructor is one who cares about her industry as well as her students, and in preparing her students for their careers prepares them to help the industry become stronger and better. Rachel does just that. I recommend her course to anyone looking to further their indoor cycling capabilities, be they seasoned instructors or first-timers to the fitness industry. Thank you, Rachel!"
