Feeling uncertain, frustrated, or overwhelmed when crafting your cycling classes? Whether you're new to teaching, returning after a break, or seeking to deepen your skills, "The Next Step" workshop is here to transform your approach to indoor cycling. You'll learn ...
-
You'll learn how to discover your unique strengths as an instructor, helping you identify the best drills, music, and flow that align with your personal teaching style. We'll explore a range of methods to ensure your classes are both engaging and effective.
-
I’ll guide you in designing rides based on training systems and energy systems, empowering you to create power rides that are results-driven through carefully crafted drills. Whether you’re focusing on endurance, strength, or speed, you’ll learn how to structure your sessions to maximize performance and deliver tangible results for your riders.
-
You'll learn how to embrace the 8, 16, and 32-count that bring energy to drills and demystify music when it comes to cycling. I’ll teach you how to create drills and choose songs that serve a purpose, and then how to seamlessly put those drills into a playlist that flows naturally, enhancing the overall experience for your riders.
-
I’ll help you renew your confidence in creating drills and leading classes, ensuring that you feel empowered to design sessions that reflect your unique style and expertise. You’ll learn how to master the skill of cueing, seamlessly syncing your coaching with the music and drills to guide your riders through every turn and transition.
-
We'll also cover common pitfalls in class design and how to avoid them, ensuring your sessions are always top-notch.
-
I'll also help you with honing in on your cueing and coaching styles so as you deliver your classes to your riders, you will be having as much fun as them because it all flows together from the songs, drills, cues, energy, and playlist design.

Q & A's Over Here!
Got a Question? Let's see if the answer is below!
-
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is perfect for newly certified indoor cycling instructors who want to bridge the gap between certification and real-world application. But also perfect for those who are returning to teaching after a break.
-
Can I participate in the workshop if I’m an experienced instructor?
Absolutely! While the workshop is designed to bridge the gap for newly certified instructors, experienced instructors will find value in the advanced modules, interactive drills, and innovative approaches to music and cueing. It’s an opportunity to refresh and elevate your teaching skills.
-
What if I can’t attend one of the live sessions?
No worries! All live sessions will be recorded and made available for you to access at your convenience. You won’t miss out on any content, and you can revisit the sessions anytime you need a refresher.
-
Will there be any assignments or homework?
Yes, but only for your benefit. The practical assignments designed to help you apply what you learn in real-time but they are not being graded. These include creating playlists, developing drills, and practicing cueing techniques. The goal is to ensure you walk away with tangible skills you can immediately use in your classes.
-
How do I access the course materials and recordings?
Once you register, you’ll receive a login to our online learning platform where all course materials, live session links, and recordings will be available. You’ll have lifetime access to all content, so you can learn at your own pace.
-
Is there any ongoing support after the workshop?
Yes! Once you register for the workshop, you’ll be invited to join a private online community where you can connect with other instructors, share ideas, and receive ongoing support. Plus, we’ll periodically send out updates, new drills, and playlist ideas to keep your teaching fresh and inspired.
-
What equipment do I need to participate in the live sessions?
You’ll need a stable internet connection, a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone, and a comfortable space to learn from. It’s also helpful to have a good set of speakers or headphones for the music-focused sessions.
-
Do I need a Bike to Participate? Quick Answer - No
No, this course is all online, however, there are lots of recordings of drills where you can ride-a-long and learn. Throughout the workshop, it will be helpful to have access to a studio where you can practice what you have learned, but you do not need a bike for the workshop as this is in the classroom learning.
-
Can I earn CECs if I’m certified with a different organization?
We are accredited with several major fitness certification organizations. If you’re certified with an organization that’s not listed, we recommend contacting them directly to confirm if they’ll accept the CECs from this course. We are happy to provide our submissions form that we use with our governing bodies; the BCRPA and CFES (from British Columbia Canada). We are an international community with instructors who join the workshops from all over the world so it is simply impossible for us to register and would cause us to keep our prices for the workshops much higher. We cannot guarantee your CEC's will be received. You do receive a certificate that you can submit once the course is completed.
